Oyster route query : Ruislip to Watford Junction

I've checked the TFL website and the journey planner advises to change at Northwick Park LU onto London Overground at Kenton . Could someone kindly confirm that this is a valid out of station interchange ? The fare of £1.50 ( after 0930) seems very good value.
