Apparently South West Trains are accepting Govia Thameslink Railway passengers to/from Southampton, but GTR state that SWT told them not to publish this info on their website.

Station staff will be able to advise you on this, as well we have ticket acceptance info posted here http://www.southernrailway.com

There is NO info about using @SW_Trains via CLJ on that site.

WHY should I have to visit the station to plan my journey? WHY have you not placed details on your website?

As I explained last night, we have been asked not to publish this by SWT.

Extract from Franchise Agreement. You should publish info to website now.

Anyone know anything about this?

Are they meant to keep these things secret?

Ive no idea about it and don't understand why SWT would request such a thing either - its not normal practice.

Because people travelling soton/pompey to london had switched to buy cheaper southern only tickets when they always intended to travel on swt. Why pay swt overpriced fares when you don't have to.SWT realised this so stoppee publicising as once publicised even if your southern train runs you can still use swt.now they only allow when southern are actually canx

There's been a blanket acceptance of Southern tickets on SWT services between Southampton/Portsmouth and London for several weeks now, it's not just when specific trains are cancelled. Staff are sent a reminder of this every morning. As you say though, SWT probably don't want it too widely publicised to avoid losing revenue.
