Some provisional dates which I expect a few people will be interested in.
Note, they are still down as provisional though, so dont hold anyone to account.

17th November- London to Scarborough, Deltic D9009
8th December- Severnside to Yorkshire, D1015 Western Champion
22nd December- Xmas modern traction tour, featuring classes 56, 60 and 66
12th January- Crewe to South Midlands freight lines, DRS 37s.

Dunno when the PF booklet was printed. Something to bare in mind though. Take it all with a pinh of salt. I cant make the Deltic tour anyway. Hopefully can make the last 3 tours. Liking the sound of them.
Anyone any idea what they may mean by South Midlands freight lines?

They seem to do it every year. Last year I think it went around unusual lines around Crewe and Liverpool, using things like a 92 and a 60. They have yet to say where they are going this year.

Could be the Notts / Derbs colliery lines, High Marnham, Tuxford, Toton etc, but they're more East than anything, and have been done to death. I suppose it really depends on your definition of 'South Midlands' - I'd say places like Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire were South Midlands, however there isn't a plethora of freight lines down there!

Perhaps some MOD lines such as Kineton, Long Marston & Bicester?

I was wondering if the MOD lines could be what they are on about. Toton and that sort of area, i always saw as perhaps East Midlands. But hey, best wait until they confirm it i suppose.
