...right at the start of the Peak.

Edinburgh +Glasgow, Dunblane and Alloa terminating Linlithgow, Fife circle, Perth and Aberdeen terminating Inverkeithing. Airdrie and Milngavie terminating Bathgate.

Oddly Glasgow Central's going in, with EC and XC. Suburban perhaps ?

Nope - we ran through as normal - well actually quicker as normal as little else was running. Nothing to be seen in Haymarket itself so I can only guess that the incident was actually to the West of Haymarket junction.

Much to my surprise, the train was no busier than normal, I guess folks make alternative arrangements rather than risk it being jammed out.

Waverley was strange today - jammed full of darkened shut down trains. An army of staff on the main concourse so should be plenty of help for folks, though I understand that the lines have been re-opened and services should have recovered to normal by 10AM.

The NRE_Scotland twitter announcements were a bit of a disaster. Just after 7AM they announced the problem was cleared, only 10 minutes later to announce that it was anything but cleared.
