Travelled on 1J57 Margate to St Pancras Saturday 30th. Service formed by 395006 /015. This service running at much lower line speeds on both DC and AC than usual, despite no obvious traffic issues. Is there anyone in the 'know' as to what the cause was? Ashford to Ebbsfleet took almost 22mins, where the usual journey time is 18 mins, and was struggling in the early part of the run to even maintain 125mph!

dependent on how strict the timings and how loose your timings where the train could be perhaps 25 or even 50 % down on power for all or part off the journey
halving the power may increase the journey time by perhaps 15-25 on average dependent on recovery time and keenness off the rail staff

It was 2 mins late leaving Ashford and got later still by Ebbsfleet. I'm assuming it was down on power .. but this was 2 sets together.. so it could not have been a single motor isolated.
