Tree blocked the line towards Fareham only and obviously was clear enough from the line towards Cosham for trains to run. Would of ran slower through the area though, of course.

Presumably the fallen tree had only landed on one half of the track?

So I presume only the up line was blocked then and that the Portsmouth news made a boo boo ( no surprise there then)

I was at Basingstoke watching the trains with my nephew and the only train announced as being late was the 1417 to Waterloo which eventually arrived around 142 minutes late and terminated at Woking. As for the Portsmouth news being wrong, having the headline match the story is counted as a good day...
