Does anyone know what had gone wrong this morning (16/09/2014) at New Mills Central?
When we passed this morning on the 08.05 to Piccadilly (from Sheffield, there was a 142 and a 150 in Platform 2. I thought they were coupled together but maybe they weren't. Certainly one of them was the rather delayed 07.41 for Sheffield, and the other one must have been the erstwhile 07.39 to Piccadilly, which starts at New Mills.
Is it possible that the Sheffield stopper was used to drag (and bump-start) a broken-down 07.39 out of the sidings there?. I don't even know if it is possible to bump-start a DMU!
