Quest TV have a series called ‘Rocky Mountain Railroad’ at 9pm on Mondays. Tonight’s episode ( Monday 5th February, 2018) will feature a coal train on the Canadian Pacific route through the Rockies.

Expect a lot off hyped up commentary and dramatic noisy music - so a bit old fashioned and naff to British ears!

Judging by last week it's similar to Railroad Alaska, even down to featuring some "off-gridders"*, but slightly less formulaic.

*Just occurred to me that last week's were on the Ontario Northland, which isn't anywhere near the Rocky Mountains.
