It should also be noted that if this was at a Magistrate Court it does not set legal precedent.
I suggest we tried warily.

I am sure we will all be happy to hear the details on how the OP succeeded in his defence of the case, and his promise of "juicy info" which would be valuable in a more general discussion about the "promise to pay" scheme, worthy of its own thread.

As far as this case is concerned, this is the end of the matter.
