It's about time something sensible was suggested by the government.

And be careful about digging up the M25. How am I supposed to get a lorry full of contraband to Scunthorpe from the continent???

Don't you have ferries to Hull...?

Yes, though they are considerably more expensive :p

Anyway, getting back on topic ;))), getting to the stadiums from the north or east is looking very easy as it only requires one change at Kings Cross or a short hop down from Euston, or even a train from Ebbsfleet, but arriving from the west or south looks much more tricky.

Presumably the promised Thameslink improvments will help this, and if it ever gets off the ground, the cross London route as well.

Hmm... these magical trains take passengers "from Central London to Stratford in 7 mins" - exactly the same time it takes 'one' trains to go from Liverpool Street (a much more convenient station for the city) to Stratford Regional (a much more convenient station for Stratford).

I think by Central London they mean the tourist section of the city, Mojo. ;)

I'd say the nearest attraction to St Pancras is the British Library - the next major attraction is well over a mile away down Euston Road - Madame Tusaurds and Regents Park (Ldn Zoo)

Yes St Pancras can hardly be seen as the tourist centre its not exactly the nicest area of London. Presumably its to save ECML passengers the tube journey, although for Euston/Paddington passengers its not going to make a lot of difference to them if they stay on the underground for a few more stops to Liverpool Street.
