Hello everyone.

I recently bought Train Simulator 2012. Whilst installing the game, I got a notification saying that the installer was down loading files and showed that they were over 5 gigabits in size.

Can anyone tell me if these files are off the internet or from the game disk?

I ask as I am limited to 5 gigabits download per month.

Thanks for any help.

Craig.

They will be from the internet. AFAIK, the disc only holds so much of the original download then it will automatically download all of the updates to TS2012 as well.

Hi Darandio, thanks for your reply.

Do you know if it's possible to play the game without the updates?

I'm not sure it is possible to be honest - unfortunately due to its nature, TS2012 makes for a very hefty download. Someone who has the boxed copy (which I guess you have) may be able to offer more advice as I have always been on the downloaded versions
