Does anyone know what services are booked for Southern class 377/2 and 377/6 under new December timetable except of Clapham Junction - Milton Keynes for 377/2s and London Bridge - Caterham/Tattenheam Corner semi-fast for 377/6.
Are rest of 377/2s serving as relief for 377/1/4 on any metro or mainline services or they working their own dedicated working only?
What type of EMUs booked for one of Victoria to West Croydon shuttles formed of 8 carriages - pair of 377s (may be 377/2) or pair of 455s?

Typically you'll find /6s/7s appear on the bulk of Epsom/Dorking/Horsham trains which is their other main stomping ground besides Caterham/Tattenham. The /3s also make a fair chunk of the London Bridge - Epsom trains (if formed of 10 coaches), else they'll appear a bit on the Victoria - West Croydon/London Bridge trains. The /3s also appear a fair bit on East Grinsteads especially at the weekends.

The /2s can appear on anything within the Southern network tbh, they have been seen all over the place.

Other than the West London line services, there is a pair of 377/2 booked for Vic-WCY shuttles and another pair that do Epsom Downs/Sutton morning peak and a Sutton eve peak.
5 car 377’s are predominantly on CAT/TAT as well as Horsham via Eps and Dorking services. There are a couple of Epsom services also.

as for West Croydon, as noted above the 8 car circuit is 377/2. 8 car 455 cannot run WCY shuttles as they cannot use the turn back siding.

Thank you!

Pairs of 377/6s booked on 2 of 3 peak only diagrams London Bridge to Crystal Palace via Forest Hill also.

Is that because the driver is not permitted to descend to ground level i.e has to be able to walk through the train?

There's a walkway alongside it though, I've used it many times when changing ends.

I'll bow to your superior knowledge on that one, I haven't been that way for a couple of years.
However the train planning rules state no trains of non corridor stock can use the turnback sidings

That's fair enough, must be a Southern specific instruction, never had anything like that with our lot.

I think it may well be a Southern specific instruction.
All i know is we get a rollocking if we plan 2 x 455 into the sidings, and the drivers won't take them in there. On the occasional slip up they will ECS to Sutton to RM back to West Croydon.

Out of interest, do you know how long the walkway has been there?

It's been there since before we stopped using the turnback Monday to Saturday, so at least three years minimum I think. Although not too sure.

Went in there today. Full path from buffers to station, with lighting the entire way.

Cheers for that, shows how long since I’ve been that way, will have to have a mosey down there when lockdown ends.
