I believe the consensus is as follows:
when figuring out which trains you may take between a routeing points on a traced route when using the maps; as long as the train does not pass through another routeing point.
However; looking at map CM (and CS and others)
Take the example of Walsall Group to Stafford Group, it shows a route avoiding Wolverhampton,
however the only way to make that trip is Walsall to Rugeley Trent Valley, then onwards to Stafford Group;
however Rugeley Trent Valley is a Routeing point;
so the question is, is that not allowed? or is that ok because RTV is not shown on the map?
also, the same maps show Walsall to Wolverhampton, but it doesn't seem possible to make that trip?
edit 1:
map LC shows Walsall to Stafford, but also shows Rugeley; so does that imply you cannot travel through Rugeley on map LC - and hence its not possible at all to travel between Walsall and Stafford via RTV if RTV is not shown on other maps
