Morning all,

Just an idle observation over the past couple of days: when regular Greater Anglia services depart Tottenham Hale (northbound at least), it's done so using the CD/RA method by platform staff. When a Stansted Express service departs this isn't the case. From what I can see on RTT none of these services run with a guard. Do the Stansted Express units have in-cab monitors or something like that?

Cheers ~ Jim.

None of Greater Anglia's trains on the Tottenham Hale route have Guards, but their older units won't have in-cab cameras .

The StanEx units do have in-cab CCTV. You can see each camera poking out at the end of each carriage. If an older unit were to be run on the StanEx (a 317 for example) then it would require CD/RA at Tottenham Hale if staff were present.
