Does anyone know how I would make the destination "Zone U12* Londn" appear on BRfares? This seems to be different to the "LONDON ZONES 1-2" option there as it doesn't produce the ticket I'm looking for

Enter "0790" in the destination box :)

Just for the record - I believe "LONDON ZONES 1-2" is an inboundary Zones 1-2 travelcard and "Zone U12* Londn" is a return ticket from outside the London zones to any station in Zone 1 or 2 :)

Any London Underground or DLR station. In general, journeys to National Rail stations need to be booked to the named station.

What if the station is a London Terminal on the opposite side of London to you, to which you cannot buy a named ticket?

You'd be travelling to the Underground station serving that London Terminal in most cases, so a U12* ticket would be appropriate. The exception is Thameslink, where it is possible to buy a ticket to "London St P" (from the south) or "London Thameslink" (from the north).

Good point, thanks!

From the south, I don't see that Thameslink throws up a problem, as pretty much everywhere on the SR has tickets to London St P. However, from the north it could be, what happens if a passenger wishes to travel, say, from Peterborough to London Bridge using Thameslink. Would the Zone U12* Londn ticket be acceptable?

Yes it is an interchangable route on which LT tickets are valid

  • Amersham and Marylebone
  • Finsbury Park and Kings Cross/Moorgate
  • Watford Junction and Euston
  • Richmond and Stratford (via North London Line),
  • Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction (via West London Line)
  • Gospel Oak and Barking
  • Seven Sisters / Tottenham Hale / Walthamstow Central, and Liverpool Street
  • Stratford and Seven Sisters/Tottenham Hale
  • Stratford and Liverpool Street
  • Upminster and Fenchurch Street / Liverpool Street but not at Forest Gate or Maryland.
  • West Ruislip and South Ruislip
  • West Hampstead Thameslink and Elephant & Castle / London Bridge
