Rail Alphabet?

Hi,

Today I have been searching for the standard British Rail font, known as 'Rail Alphabet' to use for personal use - a sample is attached.

I have not been able to find this font on the web - however I have read other material which says it is available (albeit not commercially) on the RSSB's website, www.railwaysafety.org.uk however I can find no mention of it on there by searching.

Any ideas/advice appreciated

Its available, but not publically. So I think you were confused there.

Its available.....but commercially IE you need a license to have it

The "Rail Alphabet" is almost identical to the Arial font, just compare some station signage to a similar sized arial font, and most of the characters look identical.

Also, out of curiosity, what do you want the font for?

I just thought if it was available it would be a cool font to have on my 'puter
