I dont suppose there is likely to be any chance of Rail Travel Vouchers having their validity extended due to the amount of time we are to be advised not to travel?
I'm not sure there's really a need but it may depend on your location and how dependent you are on a particular company adopting a suitable policy. If anyone does wish to contact a TOC to ask them about RTVs you could try tweeting them in the first instance.Contact the train company who issued them I'd say at least month before they expire (or 2 to be on the safe side) and ask for them to reissue them if you send them back.
As I recall I used some out of date vouchers and they scanned no problem. I think they were over a year out of date. How out of date might they accept them? I found some Central Trains ones when having a clear out…
The date isn't encoded into the barcode. As I recall I used some out of date vouchers and they scanned no problem. I think they were over a year out of date.
You might be struggling with those then! The ones I found have no barcode on them. They were issued in 2000. (Oops.)
. Only laugh I’ve had today, good luck with that. The ones I found have no barcode on them. They were issued in 2000. (Oops.)
