Is it possible to excess from one railcard to another for example Joe Bloggs has a JCP railcard which gives 50% off selected fares HOWEVER they are now in employment and have got themselves a Network Railcard.

Now I don't think it is possible but in case I'm wrong can Joe go to any ticket office and pay a excess on their already brought tickets so they now become valid with the new railcard especially if the ticket price is more expensive with the latter railcard then the former or is it the case that new tickets are needed?

I like to know if my view is correct or not because as far as I am aware it is not possible but I've been wrong before so am I wrong again?
