It is not the St Tinians film. That was filmed on an MOD railway and fearured a thumper unit. Not sure abouth the rest.
I bet it's something to do with Top Gear.
43173, involved in the Southall crash, was written off at Pig's Bay, so I'm guessing that a Thumper also was, probably 205029.
After Cowden, in-cab radios became standard fit.
So...the Cowden rail crash involved a Thumper, which was later scrapped at Pig's Bay, and politicians then insisted on the installation of in-cab radios. Do they use some kind of 'traffic light' system?
