Anyone looking regularly at Plattling? There is a long train of flats loaded with track panels there today, and some kind of obstruction at the west end of platform 6. It might be the relaying train. (Why is there no platform 7 at Plattling? They are numbered 1 to 6, then 8). Platform 6 wasn't used today in the busy 'on the hour' at 16-00 or 17-00 (local).

I haven't seen the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway featured in this thread;
http://www.e-v-r.com/webcams/
The winter time table means there are only scheduled services on saturdays but there may still be charters and stock movements on other days.

Churnet appears to be back in business but only operates on running dates;
http://www.churnet-valley-railway.co.uk/webcams
In notes it states, "Click on camera name for larger image in a new window".
Unfortunately this feature doesn't work.

The cameras on the Sheringham signal box (North Norfolk Railway) were reactivated late last week following several weeks shutdown while the box was moved from the platform back to a position close to the level crossing. Now gives a view of the crossing (and trains in and out of the NR Sheringham station) and the full length of NNR's station the other way.

Rail Cameras at the same location, 3 minutes north of "Newark FC" if you want to see what is due:

http://annles.camstreams.com/ - Looking northbound. No sound but it has a great view of the signal!
http://brcnecml.camstreams.com/ - Looking southbound. Sound but no view of any signals and can be obscured by greenery.

On the first one, I have noticed that the signal viewable clears from red to single yellow and then to double yellow - however it doesn't change to green until a service passes around Newark FC. Not completely foolproof however you can normally be safe in the assumption that nothing is coming for a while if the signal is double yellow.
There is a small time delay but definitely a very very good time spender!

Kind Regards
Sean
P.S you'll normally get a tone or two from northbound trains!

am no expert, but the ECML cams are close together,judging by the timings of passing trains.

Thanks for your reply rogger.I timed them this afternoon and they are about 15 seconds apart,20 for freight.

I think it varies quite a bit throughout the day. Having been an avid watcher since they were posted here, I reckon they are set in the same position, but obviously looking up and down the lines. Sometimes they are in sync, but not often; either one of them can be ahead or behind the other, by as you say, up to 15 seconds.

I'd like to know where they are more accurately too. I've looked on Google maps but can't seem to find a likely location. One thing that puzzles me is where is Newark FC; what does FC stand for?

Ah, that would explain why over the last few days the passing syncing changes.taa
I would like to know exactly where they are too...anyone?
Newark FC, I think refers to the Flat Crossing north of Newark...

Detective work suggests that the cameras are at Grassthorpe crossing house north of Newark flat crossing. Google maps satelite view shows the five OHL structures going north and then the signal, looking south there is an OHL warning sign at left of camera and a pylon close to railway on right. All these can be seen if you look at Google streetview from the level crossing itself.

Thanks David for your reply and everybody else. I actually thought that FC stood for Newark Football Club, so It shows you just how much I know. Newark North Gate Is the nearest station to these webcams.

That looks to be the lines just north of Vauxhall station

It could well be and I am not 100% sure, that`s the crane that a helicopter crashed Into. If It Is Vauxhall plenty of Desiros should be seen and class 455`s. Have to wait to morning though.

I'm not that great with stations, but to me it looks like London Bridge :)

I think the camera is somewhere near the southern end of Blackfriars station with Blackfriars Junction visible (turn left for London Bridge) and straight on for Loughborough Junction etc. Trains can be seen running beneath the latter line just beyond the junction and these would be on the Charing Cross to London Bridge Line.

I am inclined to agree with this.

No, the one in that crash is much taller:
