I severly doubt they want the best trains in the UK, im pretty sure Nothern will want them.

Dont kid yourself mate!!! They have got to be the worst train built..... You once lived in Accrington right... so whatabout your steady flow of 156's, they are better.... but pacers.... just look at the Winsford crash if you want to see the possible results if you ride in one with fast trains in the vacinity.- Just thankfully no one was on it. Now Gareth would you agree a train that crumples 3/4 when hit at a slow-ish speed is poor quality?

What is wrong with being a hacker? I like many other people am a hacker.

Being a cracker, however, is a different thing altogether.

I lived near Accrington, Most of the trains are 142's now-a-day's (apart for 158's and 155's)

That's because northern are idiots and have in a cost saving measure have standardised stock between depots, with the 156s and 158s going off to Neville Hill because metro pay the most subsidy. That means, among other things, they are giving the affluent commuters on the Clitheroe line 150s, which seems to me a very bad business move when much of their peak time market on the route own cars and can afford to use them.

Firstly, at Zoltan, it's debatable as to whether they are drumlins, roche moutonees or possibly moraines that have been incised at points. I'd have to know where it was to say what exactly they were! And yes, physical geography degree does involve a whole module in Glaciation!

Mojo...Nice pic of a Metro there. Fortunately for Midland Metro, after getting it wrong with the supplier to start off with (ie AnsaldoBreda) if and when they get round to submitting and approving (hah!) Metro extensions those are going! I can think of one system at least in the UK that requires cheap new trams to keep it going...although they'd have to work on the reliability of those first!

Cheers
