Wow everyone is filling their books like crazy lately! My Red Pen update from the London bash is going to be posted eventually, this morning however I'm focusing entirely on catching up with stuff. Some of which is now done, so hopefully at some point today I'll get the moves written up into my notebook. I then will be able to create my Red Pen 2016 Update memo file much more easily, which will help fill time on a boring bus journey.

Yes, I really still haven't got on with updating the notebook! A major downside to working full time hours there, not enough time to do stuff!

You are still on the scene then, I hadn't seen much of you on here for ages! That's one mad backlog, I thought my recent lot was bad enough!

Currently looking to deal with my remaining bookwork tomorrow, as I am due to have some long festers in various places...

Yup, been diligently noting down almost every unit I've travelled on every day since last posting. When you only make periodic 'trips out' it's probably a lot easier to catch up, but as someone who is privileged to be able to use a reasonably broad variety of TOCs and rolling stock on their daily commute (sometimes I concede by avoiding the fastest route) it's at least 2-3 days a week of a minimum of 4 trains - over the course of the 18 month backlog I currently have to fill, that's probably in excess of 1000 entries. Gulp.
For red pen I can gloss over things like the Class 357 and Jubilee 96TS as I'm pretty certain I've cleared both of those now, 357s definitely. However, I still document them for mileage as I like the idea of having reached the 100 mile milestone on commuter units where I barely do over 10 miles per trip, feels like a substantial achievement :P

Unfortunately I seldom travel on long-distance services and when i do, it's often 91s I'm unable to get the number of anyway, so suspect it'll be a very long time before I ever clear a unit for 1000. Makes me wonder if it ever happened without my notice in the days before I started noting unit numbers...
