Given the current chaotic state of GWR I would say its just question of heads or tails as to whether its an HST on the day or not (or if it even runs!)

Lots of HSTs will still be running to the South West this summer - just as the 800s have gradually been introduced since last September, the 802s will be drip-fed into service with GWR as they are delivered by Hitachi over the rest of this year and into early 2019.

Think the IETS tothe south west now due to begin end of August. I imagine driver training is the main issue for example at Plymouth I'd say so far out of 74 drivers about 6 are trained up so mid July was never gonna happen!!!

Weekdays the 1101 Oxford - Paddington has been a 4-car turbo since the May timetable change, but sometimes its a single 2-car and sometimes its nothing at all. The hst off the 0950 Paddington - Oxford goes back on the 1201 Oxford - Paddington

Hi All. I have a day off and want to go riding HSTs with my son. The idea he has is he wants us to travel on as many as possible. Soooo for example the idea could be go to either Didcot or Swindon and buy a weekly season ticket and pile on each one as it goes through.

There aren't too many HSTs down that way.
Look at post #1.

However the west country diagrams are all HSTs atm, and during Newbury blockades they are diverted via Swindon.

However very few diagrams stop at Didcot.
My advice would be to get a Thames Valley rover instead!

Just updated the list to include the latest 802 diagrams

1100 PAD - BRI and 1300 return is now booked IET.

Return working of 1130 PAD - BRI is 1400 BRI - PAD. Indeed I think these from the only 2 consecutive HST departures in the Up direction from Bristol TM now, at 1330 (1A19, ex-WSM) and 1A20.

Still 0915 PAD - CDF / 1156 CDF - PAD going strong
