Thank you. I note that it is shown as an HST - could this be the last hurrah of full size HSTs?
  • High Speed Train (HST125)
!

That's the timing load, not the booked traction.
It will definitely be a 5 car 800!

Thanks, again. Pembroke Dock is one of my favourite branch lines, and I have a few shots of HSTs on the branch, so a shot of a new IET at somewhere like Manorbier with the crew opening the level crossing gates should be something different!

Article has been edited since first released. It confirms the information I gave a few days ago. Last GWR HST in scheduled passenger service will be the 1830 Paddington - Exeter St Davids on Saturday 18th May 2019.

GWR website is now showing an 1827 & an 18.30 Paddington to Taunton (both via Bristol) on Saturday 18th. Is this correct? If so is one to carry 'normal' passengers and one for 'enthusiasts' wanting to travel on the last HST?

RTT showing at the moment a 1C26 1830 Paddington/Taunton and also a 1Z26 1832 Paddington/Taunton. The former is overtaken by the latter at Reading and then has an extended dwell in P3 at Didcot. I am inclined to think that the latter is the service train.

Frequently requested diagrams

The GWR HST diagrams (LTP) can be found on the above thread.

But as an example of how they are being altered by the weekly STP diagrams these are how the SO diagrams look for tomorrow (06/04)

Excluding IW1 & IW13 as they are just spare diagrams.

IW2: HST
IW3: HST
IW4: HST (running as STP IW7)
IW5: HST
IW6: HST
IW7: HST (running as STP IW4)
IW8: HST
IW9: all workings on this diagram are IET (802 9 car)
IW10: all workings on this diagram are IET (802 9 car)
IW11: HST (running as STP IW1)
IW12: all workings on this diagram are IET (802 9 car)

Basically there are 8 working HST diagrams.

Curiosity killed the cat and all but where do you get this info from?

I'm curious as I would like to get some more mileage in before they go and want to ensure the information provided is accurate!

If the platform allocations are correct then 1C26 continues as 1Z43 to Exeter at 2132 and 1Z26 returns to Reading at 2130. Which would suggest 1C26 is the HST.

I believe @FGW_DID works for GWR so is able to access booked traction for each diagram.
The 125 group also have diagrams, but obviously these are LTP diagrams

43172 "Harry Patch" is on the rear of IC13, the 12:03 from Paddington to Weston Super Mare. Didn't get a chance to see what was on the front but that was a nice surprise.

Just got off of 43086 and 43056 on 2C65 Bristol Parkway to Taunton. I saw a debranded 43027 and 43010 across on platform 3 as we pulled in to Temple Meads too, believe that's 2U06 to Cardiff from Weston Super Mare.
