Would anyone in the know have the HSTs for Easter Saturday yet please?
Would someone be able to let me know the STP diagrams for Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of April please?

Does anyone know if/when the diagrams for Saturday 18th May (shown in post #934) will be confirmed to be operated by HST's?
Do you mean diagram 2 and 5 are unchanged and 1,3,4 are as you’ve stated?
Yes, exactly that
For anyone interested that means
1: 0822 PLY-PNZ
4: 1215 PLY-PAD (Where the stock comes from is unclear)
5Z85 off Laira.
Doesn’t appear on RTT for whatever reason then.
That's brilliant, thanks!
No hurry, ECS movements often come last. What is important is that the trains themselves are in.
I too would appreciate it if anyone was able to confirm if this is the case - I was about to book but noticed the seat I'd been allocated was from an 800 set - just want to check as I imagine the booking engine isn't aware of the changes.
I have the same situation, I'm booked in first class in Coach E which wouldn't be first class on a HST as far as I know. Never mind though, it'll be a good day out all the same even if it isn't
Yes, there are still some good priced advance fares on what are supposed to be HSTs on the last day (18th May) if the schedules posted here turn out to be the ones that are correct. I've booked a 1st class seat on one of the post 18.00hrs departures. Should check what carriage I have.
Can anyone advise on what diagrams were HSTs last Saturday??
Thank you, also does anyone know what diagrams will be HSTs on the 27th April?
Keep a look out on this thread as thy probably haven't been issued yet
Yes, the HST diagrams will be HST!
The 5 HST diagrams for 27/04 contain the following services:
1. 1A80 > 1C85
2. 1A83 > 1C87
3. 1A92 > 1C32
4. 1A75 > 1C77 > 1A94 > 1C33
5. 1A04 > 1C76 >1A87 >1C92
Seat reservations have opened for the final HST on Saturday 18th May, the 1830 to Taunton/Exeter.
Unconfirmed reports that GWR are saying that you must have a seat reservation to travel on this service.
I believe the last GWR HST's out of Paddington in passenger service on the 18/05/19 are the 18:03 to Plymouth (or Penzance), 18:15 to Cheltenham Spa, the 18:22 to Hereford and the 18:30 to Exeter St. David's. I know because somebody tweeted / asked this question to GWR earlier today (not that long ago actually) and I'm booked into the Quiet Coach !!!!!
The 18:15 to Didcot (after catching an IET down on the 12:24) I'm catching. I may as well make the most of the HST's - Saturday evening especially.
Don't worry, I'll be having a look round London for a few hours anyway !
You just beat me to it . I'm not surprised a a seat reservation is a must - I'd hate to think how horrendously packed the HST's will be if these services were available for walk-up passengers!
Yes, I took the risk of booking Advance on one of them as soon as the times generally came up here. Still some reasonably priced Advance fares on those last HSTs, tho the 18.30 looks like walk up prices only on offer.
Part of me now wishes I'd gone for the 18:30 or 18:32 (trainline shows 2 fast London to Didcot services at 18:30 and 18:32 calling only at Reading). However, I'd rather get to Didcot in plenty of time for the bus than 13 minutes before in case of a delay even if the 18:30 is the special service!
Put it this way, for Penzance-bound passengers the last HST is 18:03, Cheltenham 18:15, Slough and between Reading, Oxford - Hereford 18:22. So I've gone for the safe bet .
Well, Taunton Advance fare prices on the 18.32 are a lot less than on the 18.30, so logic would suggest the 18.32 is a releif service (operated by an IET?) designed to accommodate people not bothered about HSTs! The 18.32 is a shorter jny time too.
I know it could be too early yet, but any idea on 2+8 HST diagrams for May 4th and 6th whilst the South West services are diverting via Bristol/Melksham? Cheers.
Your info about the last four departure times (but not to Penzance) is the same as jimm’s post #934 in this thread just over a week ago...
GWR press release confirming the final HST from Paddington is reservation only. Also confirms the relief IET service at 1832.
