Looks like I need to plan a trip down west! Any ideas what will be the least service route to go over to unit operation?

On Saturday Morning services towards to South west what's the chance of getting an HST, I'm looking at 27/10. Also, is the 1552 ex PNZ likely to be an IET or HST? Thanks

STP diagrams aren’t out for the 27th but I should imagine quite good given comments further up the thread ^

1A94 the 15.52 Penzance - Paddington (on Sat 20th) is booked a pair of 802s!

It's the Paignton route atm, with only 1 booked diagram on Saturdays AFIAA.
However more long term, the last route to go completely IET is the Penzance/Plymouth route

I see the 0708 WOS-PAD every day, and it's yet to have an IEP at the helm.

I don't see it yet on the list, although I could be wrong

It is on an HST diagram.
I know they can be quite a hit and miss with whether or not it will be an IET or HST, but could you confirm the weekday diagrams for HSTs on the Cotswolds Lines from 22 to 26 October please? Thanks.

Unfortunately, people do not have the time to write four days of diagrams. All I can say is expect an IET as they are a lot more frequent on these lines. If you are looking for Cheltenham’s then they are up there, I wrote them somewhere.

Not many staff left there now. Last Swansea overnighter goes as from 19/11/18 and then it will be used for storing surplus stock. Some HST buffet cars arrived there last week.

O that makes sense to keep it open for storage. I think there is only one HST booked in overnight now as all the rest are IET's.

When you say confirm the diagrams, do you mean the HST diagram numbers (i.e IW09) or individual services (i.e 1Wxx). Had a quick butchers at the STP SX diagrams and there are about 9 diagrams that include Cotswolds work.

On Saturday 20 October, the 10:22 Paddington - Hereford and 15:13 return were worked by 43070 + 43015 - probably my first and last HST ride into Hereford..
Class 800(IET) were seen on:
08:22 Paddington - Hereford & 12:13 return.
10:45 Great Malvern - Paddington
13:22 Paddington - Great Malvern.

Anyone asking for diagrams beyond late November you won’t really have much luck, and asking for services that’ll be HST on a certain day is not pacific enough for people to tell you.

@FGW_DID You probably need to put the disclaimer at the top, before anyone claims you promised them an HST, as I think a majority of the services on that Cotswold Line list have now had stints of IET operation at times this year.

If anyone is thinking of trying for an HST run on the Cotswold Line next month, remember that the line is shut between Moreton-in-Marsh and Worcester for platform extension work from Saturday 17th November to Sunday 25th November.

Roughly how many Devon /cornwall train's will be hst 10/11/13/17/18/23/24th November please?

The STP diagrams have only been issued as far as 02/11.

A request to check for a specific service or destination on a particular date is preferable!!!!!

I was quite surprised to see the 05.28 from Hereford had gone back to HST as that was quite a regular IET working a couple of weeks ago. As for the disclaimer I may just add it to my signature block :lol::lol:;)

Is the 0922 PAD - WOF & 1200 WOF - PAD not a HST then?

No, both part of an 800(5car) diagram for that particular week.

They may be HST on the LTP diagrams (I haven’t looked) but the diagrams are amended weekly by STP.
