I think that's all of the diagrams.
Do weekend diagrams change week by week, or do they stay the same?

To be more precise, I've taken the diagrams from the 125 group, and put them in a better format for journey planning.
So being pedantic they are HST workings.
Would have been nice if you'd credited the source then...

Shame you've missed some workings, too.

1500 KGX to STG is obviously terminating at EDB currently. But is still booked for an HST

Any ideas what these diagrams will look like in march / April 2019?

It's a bit too early to tell, but from what I've heard, the 225s are being replaced first.
So it should be very sumsimi to the current list, bar the ex EMT set (highlighted in orange)

Thanks Cactustwirly, do you know when they start replacing the 225s?

I am intending to head up to Scotland late march/ early April via HST or 225.

Cheers,
RE460

The initial diagrams of the 800s are very likely to be Leeds/Newark services, therefore I'm fairly certain that Scotland services are very likely to be 225s/HSTs

What are the chances of LNER HSTs making it to 2020? Personally I think it's quite high, as introducing new stock seems to always take longer than planned.

They can't be used past 31/12, so it isn't that high.
Although the 225s aren't fully PRM compliant, it's more politically acceptable for them to be used into 2020, if need be.

That would make sense, I presume the majority will go to scrap or go into preservation, apart from the ones for Scotrail.

From what I've heard a small number 91s/Mark 4s are being replaced first to allow Transport for Wales to have their Mark 4s, then it'll be the HSTs replaced, and then finally the remaining 91s/Mark 4s. Can't guarantee that is what'll actually happen but I've heard from multiple people within LNER that that is the plan.

It'd be more politically acceptable to carry on using the HSTs into 2020 than it would be to get rid of them all and potentially have to cancel a large number of services because there aren't enough 800s operational to work them.

Just an FYI, the Newark turns that are booked for HSTs on a weekday are usually worked by a 90 (despite officially being booked to be worked by a HST), with the HST working the 12:30 Kings Cross - Newcastle and the 16:25 return instead (officially booked to be a 91 but usually worked by a HST), you might want to add those notes next to the respective services.

Not really interested in that, as the 800 intro should eliminate the 90 workings.

The point I'm making is that they regularly (by that I mean almost every day) operate a few services that are booked for a HST - with this thread being for HST workings it'd be useful to note that as if not noted people could easily look at this thread, turn up for one of those services expecting a HST, then be disappointed when a 90 rolls in on it. I was just trying to be helpful.

You might find the diagrams here more helpful: https://www.125group.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/HST-Diags-LNER.pdf

They have a note on them about the Class 90 substitutions and what the HST displaced often does as a consequence.

In fairness I'd rather know if I was looking at HST diagrams if there is a likelihood that it will turn up as something different, so thanks for the additional info @DanNCL !

Surely if it’s not an actual HST diagram then it’s not one for the list?

Does anyone know if any of the morning Aberdeen to Kings Cross services will still be HST's in July/August 2019?

No, we don't know what LNER is planning re HST replacement, as the 91s are significantly more compliant with PRM, my feeling is that they'll be kept longer than the HSTs.
So the Aberdeen services could be 800s in July or August, or they could be HSTs.

Updated the first post, taking into account the first 800 diagram.

Will be a while before the next update, as the IETs are not expected to replace any more HSTs until later this year

I thought the majority of Newark turns were diagrammed as loco hauled stock urilising class 91s but a shortage of serviceable 91s means 90s are hired in instead?
