Saw the RHTT pass Tavistock Junction just after 8pm this evening, Exeter bound, top & tailed by EWS 66's. Apparently, from what I can gather via the NRE Website, there's been poor rail conditions since the afternoon between Newton Abbot & Plymouth, & services have been severely disrupted, so I take it the RHTT has been brought in to try & improve rail conditions.

The RHTT makes a run every night to Newton Abbot from St.Blazey, although last night it ran slightly earlier after FGWs 1C84 12:05 Paddington to Penzance slipped to a stand on Rattery (115 late into Plymouth) and 1E53 15:25 MML HST ex Plymouth slipped to a stand on Dainton and was 110 late into Newton Abbot.
