That's great news.

Did they get Anneka in again to build it

I hope not, K&ESR fokelore is that everything built by Anneka had to be discretly demolished and rebuilt properly once the TV cameras had gone

There are however three roads to cross - all on the level. The original A21 (The Clappers), the A21, an important A road which can get very busy on summer weekends and the B2244? Plus there is that connection with NR at Robertsbridge which would cost a fortune.

Good video. It will great when there are through trains again from Robertsbridge to Tenterden, even if a connection with NR is not possible for a while, at least a same station connection will be handy, so much more convenient than having get bus connections.

Good video. It will great when there are through trains again from Robertsbridge to Tenterden, even if a connection with NR is not possible for a while, at least a same station connection will be handy, so much more convenient than having get bus connections.

Work is expected to start later this year on a 6 coach platform and run round loop this will be approximately 50 metres from the booking hall of the NR station and will eventually have a station building in the Col. Stephens style. The previous K&ESR bay platform is not long enough for the trains we currently run and there is not enough room for a run round loop. However the Bay platform is still in use as a PW siding and its possible that this will be used as a NR connection that would allow the transfer of locos and track machines etc although the running of through passenger trains from NR to the KESR seems unlikely in the forseeable future.

Serious work is now underway on the Transport & Works Order to rebuild the missing link it is likely that the 3 level crossings will be full barriers.
