Happy New Year All !
I've been inspired by the Scotrail Club 50 £17 flat fare promo and wanted to query the legitimacy of the £17 ticket from Inverness to Dundee via Aberdeen. I think the most obvious route is via Aviemore and Perth but as the Aberdeen route is slightly longer perhaps the latter journey may not be valid on this special promo ticket. You can buy an "Any Permitted Route" ticket which is valid via Aberdeen but I'm unsure if the Club 50 flat fare will allow travel via Aberdeen.
Thanks.

Why wouldn’t it? If via Aberdeen is a permitted route their is no reason for the Club 50 fare not to be valid that way unless it’s routed ‘via Aviemore’.
