Does anyone know if a Grimsby to Doncaster ticket is valid via Lincoln.

Not valid.

Valid routes:

Distance: 49 miles 1 chains
From Grimsby Town to Habrough, to Barnetby, to Hatfield & Stainforth, to Doncaster.

Distance: 85 miles 76 chains
From Grimsby Town to Habrough, to Barnetby, to Gainsborough Central (Saturdays only), to Retford (Saturdays only), to Worksop, to Sheffield, to Meadowhall, to Swinton (South Yorks) (avoiding Rotherham Central), to Doncaster.

...and a few more!

Anyone care to post an "idiots guide" to using that routings guide? I'm sure its a very useful piece of kit!

No, but it IS valid via Kirton Lindsay-Retford-Worksop-Sheffield-Doncaster :o (Saturdays only though ;) )

Nope, no more. Just those two.

BTW Clive Feathers Online Routeing Engine doesn't define permitted routes, so be careful. I don't suggest using it for that purpose. The only purpose it is reliable for is determining the shortest route - which is always valid.
