No idea whether this is the right place, but Ascot at York is making life interesting for staff at the station, and for us too!

All exits and entrances are guarded by GNER, TPEX or Northern staff, and all of them must be commended for being so polite and efficient even when people are rushing for trains.

GNER especially must be praised for the extra work they have done to make Ascot at York run smoothly, co-ordinating extra trains from London and the connections to the racecourse with First buses.

BTW Regional Eurostar 3305 and 3306, "Yorkshire Forward" and "Golden Jubilee" (respectively)were in York today, running one of the extra specials...something that i think is a bit of an uncommon occurance, "White Rose" sets usually being limited to the London-Leeds services. It was taking up the whole of platform 11 tho (14 cars+2 power!!)

Regards

Dave

I've not been to York station since it started but Eurostars used to run to York before Leeds station was remodelled.

Do you know which services are Eurostars? GNER must have changed the diagrams as no York services are booked Eurostar according to the (amended) timetable.
