According to UK Steam, 46100 Royal Scot is due to move from the NRM at York to Dereham on the Mid Norfolk Railway: http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t16/t0615p.htm

I first heard about this thanks to a local Facebook information page.

However, it is appearing as Cancelled on Realtime Trains: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U50599/2016/06/15/advanced

No other paths have appeared, and UK Steam hasn't yet been updated to show the cancellation.

Does anyone have any further information as to whether this movement has been cancelled today? It appears Royal Scot is due to appear at the Mid Norfolk Railway's steam gala on the 24th to the 26th of June, so there is still time to get her down there if she doesn't go today.

Many thanks

Ryan

Yes, it's definitely cancelled now as the RTT path has been updated to a CAN schedule and there's now a red bar at the top of the page saying "This service was cancelled throughout due to a planned cancellation by the train operator (PG)."

It's also now showing as cancelled on UK Steam.

I thought I'd ask there was a chance a new path would be added so I wondered if anyone knew what was going on.

Apparently a problem was found on inspection at York, requiring rectification after the locomotive was fully cooled down.

So the move to the MNR will hopefully be rescheduled once repairs are finished.

Thanks for that Redrover. I also heard a rumour on Facebook that it was due to poor coal. I noticed mention of it on another forum that I'm not a member of as it caused issues on the Crewe to York charter on Tuesday. It may well have been another factor, but if the loco required repair, it was irrelevant anyway.

Just an update for those who weren't aware, 46100 Royal Scot worked south last Wednesday (22nd June) from York to Wymondham. I was out for the day so didn't see it, but she was hauled behind a diesel anyway and was therefore only in light steam.

And according to UK steam info worked Tues 28th Wymondham to Bristol to work the first Torbay Express this Sunday.
