Good Evening all,

Please could anyone give me a readout etc of all diversionary traffic running over the S&C route on weekends from tomorrow morning, as I'm not sure myself what's going on?

I seem to think there's work north of Carlisle? Search results are mostly returning Voyager services (which i don't mind ;)) , with a lack of 57+390s.

Also to note, is a new 05:15 Manchester Piccadilly to Carlisle service (arrive 08:27), which will probablly provide stock for a later southbound working. Why so early, if it won't return for at least 2/3 hours on the 11: xx to Penzance?

Thanks for help recieved
Ian
PS/ NO EARLY APRIL FOOLS PLEASE! ;)

Due to the WCRM, expect a HST and a dragged 87 tomorrow...

I'll post fully on this tomorrow, it's gen I've literally just received.

Over the Ribble Valley? If so when?

Please could you post details ASAP, or i'll probablly miss out!

This sounds very odd though, and i wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen

Oh it's going down alright. Lunchtime off Euston, expected into Glasgow by tea-time. Departs a little after the evening peak off Glasgow, due back into London by the end of the day. Would expect the 87 and its dragging locomotive to reach the middle of the S+C by 1600 NB.

EDIT: HST has been canned for tomorrow, both power cars that were to be used are in for major exams.

1155 is the new time I just got by SMS off Euston, 1730 at Glasgow. Return times not sent to me yet. All proof is offline. Unless you care to examine the forum with a fine tooth comb to find what I've posted elsewhere...

Nice try mate, but your plan to trick me with your fake working hasn't worked. :p

Why would VT want to send an 87 up via the S&C anyway, when there's perfectly good 390s available to be hauled for the journey?

Isn't the line north of Carlisle shut anyway?

National Rail states there is engineering works between Carlilse and Dumfries, WCML isn't mentioned. I'm not sure if Pendolinos have been cleared for the Dumfries line yet.

Here are the times for the S&C that were posted to North East Gen

Saturdays 01/04/06 to 06/05/06

I don't think VT trains are travelling north of Carlisle by the looks of things.

I'm just going to assume the times are going to be near to the plan stated in your message with I saw a while ago.
