There is talk this year that there will be a return of loco hauled trains on the S&C, to free up units for the Hull-Bridlington-Scaggy Route.

The Trains used should be, if the plan goes ahead, 31s from FM rail and Mark 2 Coaches, From Barrow Hill.

Should be good for thrash Going up Blea Moor

Is this Summer Saturdays only, or Mon-Sat? July and August or what?

I really hope this is true!

If this is true expect me and some chaps from the GCR going up there to have a good ride.

I've done them, I did them York - Keighley.

I dont mind 37's, it's just that 45's are far better, especially "Tom's Peak" ;)

Loco hauled S&C services? I'd be up for that - hope it happens! I never got around to doing the T&T 37s.

It gets a lot better after Skipton ;)

If this happens we will combine it with the North Country Rover meet, firstly we'll get the 31s up to Carlisle for the Cumbrian Coast, and secondly we'd have a day specifically to do the 31s there and back.

It's much more worthwhile doing it on a Rover.

Two Leeds-Carlisle returns cost as much as a North Country Rover 4 in 8!
