The crash in the Moray Firth has claimed it's first official victim as a guy from 15 (Reserve) squadron has died of his injuries in hospital in Inverness.
His fellow crew member is in the same hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The crew from the other aircraft are presumed dead as the search has been called off partly due to foul weather.
My thoughts go out to all the families and colleagues involved at Lossie.
I have been on that base many times and it is a nice friendly place, this incident will really impact on them.
