Scotrail “updated” app

I received an email from Scotrail today saying that their new app now does M Tickets? I am surprised that they were that far behind the likes of LNER, as the only alternative they gave was the paper ticket or a top up card.

In a way it is good to hear but it shouldn’t have taken this long to go the M Ticket way of things.

mTickets are at least 7 or 8 years behind most TOCs. In fact the rest of the industry is looking to phase out mTickets.
