Passengers on the Cumbernauld line don’t seem too happy with the new timetable. Slightly surprised at that but can understand their reasons.

Any examples? Not seen anything.

Just all over twitter. Claiming they only have 2tph to Glasgow now rather than 3tph, loss of onward connections and the service is unreliable due to coming all the way from Edinburgh. Although the 2tph are more direct and quicker so I thought they’d prefer that, seems not though.

I've seen one person on Twitter who commutes Cumbernauld - Partick and one who commutes Alexandra Parade - Gartcosh complaining about loss of direct services.

Other than that the complaints mainly seem to be about cancellations (fair enough!).

Couple of tweets from people doing Cumbernauld - Edinburgh who are happier with the new service.

About what you'd expect really. The new routings have winners and losers while the main complaints relate to service reliability more than the frequency itself.

They complained bitterly when the High Level service was cut back to hourly, and the LL trains were extended from Springburn!

It's inevitable that people will complain at every timetable change as no matter how well designed a timetable is there will be people who lose out and they are the vocal ones who complain. The people who benefit are less likely to speak up.

Main thing for Scotrail is to sort out reliability.

What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld

Whenever there was any disruption west of Charing Cross back then, the trains would either be skip stopping between Queen Street/Bellgrove and Springburn, or would get truncated at Springburn to await the return working.

I think that the Springburn truncations were done so as to connect with the Falkirk Grahamston, being as that would be around 8 to 10 minutes behind the ex Dumbarton Central.
