Wondering what the forum thinks before I approach Scotrail.
I have a weekly season ticket from Hyndland to Glasgow Central or Queen Street but mainly travel to Charing Cross (Glasgow) instead. I tap in at the start of my journey and at the ticket barrier at Charing Cross, I tap in on my return at Charing Cross but when I tap in at Hyndland to complete the journey, the platform validator says "not yet valid". Could this be to do with the fact that the start of the journey did not originate from one of the end points on the season ticket? Once I travelled from Queen Street to Hyndland using the smartcard and upon completing the journey the validator said "journey ended".
There is no issue with my smartcard (yet) but I'm wondering if the break of journey on the start of the journey confuses the platform validator.
