ScotRail Ticket Machines

Apologies if this is the wrong part of the forum.

Have ScotRail staff been issued with a new ticketing system (that isnt Avantix), as yesterday I seen two members of staff (guard and a TE) with these styles of machine. One on a Helensburgh Central to Edinburgh and the other one on a Edinburgh to Aberdeen?

Just curious - but these machines look much better.

Yes, it's a new system, Star mobile. Most, if not all Scotrail staff should be operating them by the end of next week.

Only to authorise Online only car payments. (Which avantix the current system can't handle properly anyway)
