One of the most annoying things about Scotrail (unless I am making a mistake) Tickets purchased online is that each journey comes out with a separate code for collection from the machine at the Station.

Whereas with Virgin East Coast you can put them all in the basket then purchase the lot with only one pick up code allocated for the whole order.

Why is this ? and which other operators follow the Virgin rather than the Scotrail option.

Yes, this is a trainline thing to give you separate codes.

Atos WebTIS sites give you one code for the whole booking.

I've no idea what the mickey mouse outfit powering the Govia sites does!

It's cheaper for the retailer to give out fewer collection codes, so it is a puzzling choice!

Thanks for that.

The actual trainline website lets you choose if you want one reference per journey or for the whole booking. It's probably just that but implemented wrongly.
