can we take it from this that they will continue to use loco hauled sets on peak Fife runs freeing units from other work as I doubt theyve magicked more units from anywhere.

Would it also be fare to assume it wil be a 3 car 170 and 2 2 car 158s? Great move, just wish the stock and platforms where available for more!

A 170 and 2 158's is the only possible combination I can think of.

47+7 Mk2s or Mk3s?

Inverness and Aberdeen have the capability of dealing with locos and Mk3 coaching stock through their experience with the sleeper.

We can all wish.

158+158+170 is the most likely.

these were my thoughts to start with also however the train will split part way so sadly not likely to be loco hauled!
Also says that some other workings wil have additional coaches.
