Hi

Does anyone know what fares called "SCR Group" are. See http://www.brfares.com/#expert?orig=EDB&dest=GLQ

and e.g

http://www.brfares.com/#faredetail?orig=EDB&dest=GLQ&expert=on&flow=1&multi=0&fare=32&tkt=S01

Are they Scotrail advances or are they special?
Why are the called 'Group' fares when they say for 1 adult or 1 child on brfares?
I would assume that they are fares for Group travel, charged per adult or child, which is how Group travel used to work when I last used it (in BR days, admittedly), but set at various levels of discount like advances.

They are the Scotrail (and East Midlands Trains) version of GroupSave. You have to buy tickets for the specific size of group but they should only be available through ticket offices or Scotrail telesales. As they issue one outward and one return coupon per group and it shows as 1 passenger, they are not suitable for TVMs or web retailing - and Scotrail prefer it that way.
