Looking for some advice re disputing a changeover calculation with Scotrail. Having used an annual ticket for 2 months from Newton to Haymarket I needed to change it to Newton to Glasgow (job change). Scotrail are saying that they give the remaining 12 weeks of the annual pass complimentary so the changeover to the new route doesn’t include that. My reading of the NRoC sec 41 is that it should be pro-rota on the daily charge for each route. Am I correct? How do I challenge them? (i’ve already told them I disagree and been rebuffed) thx

Any National Rail station can carry out a changeover, regardless of original purchase point or old/new journeys on the season ticket so you can shop around for this. If the ticket has already been submitted and you are disputing the payment/refund (as applicable) I am sure someone here could calculate the details for you, but getting Scotrail to agree might see you ending up using the Ombudsman service.

Thanks for that. Yes the ticket has already been submitted although I’m still waiting on my refund. It was through some reading here that made me question their calculation.

Have Scotrail sorted it yet?
