Season tickets, non-stop split ticketing, and seat reservations

If I want to use a combination of a season ticket and a non-season ticket to travel on a train that does not stop at the "changeover" station, as I am entitled to do under NRCoC 19(c), can a ticket office issue a seat reservation for the through journey?

Yes, a reservation can be issued on production of a valid ticket / combination of tickets.

This cropped up last week, and there is no charge on the vast majority of TOCs (those that do charge don't like to mention it).

Yeah---I saw that thread but wasn't sure that it addressed my specific issue of a non-stop split. I just wasn't sure if the ticket machines in the office could handle it from a technical standpoint.
