...From the "metro" on Tuesday: Asda have applied to trademark the word "Chav" & "Chav Sweets" There is also a chance that the Burberry pattern will be used on wrappers etc,

Will keep you updated ;)

Looks like your brand of sweets is arrving now...

Hopefully they'll be marketed towards the "chav" members of society and will be laced with some kind of poison.

Besides, you can't trademark a dictionary word unless its different to the meaning of the word or its intention is different. And, yes, chav is a dictionary word.
