Hello

Just a quick question , thinking of traveling on the 0849 Leeds to Carlisle on Saturday. Can anyone advise me of the traction l can expect and does this service get extremely busy ?

Thanks.

Almost certainly a 158, not that sure how busy that service will be, but in my experience services on the S&C are usually pretty well loaded although I don't think I've ever seen standing room only!

As Ian said, probably a 158 which may have a 153 also attached. Services can also be operated by other 15x trains though I think it is fairly unusual and Pacers even more so!

Hope you enjoy the journey, it's a very scenic line :)

I wouldn't relish travelling over the S&C in winter time on a Pacer, especially on the more exposed sections!
