The poet and writer William Henry Davies (also known as "Supertramp") lived in Sevenoaks for a large part of his life. He died, though, in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, in 1940.

The 'wich' in Nantwich, in Cheshire, associates it with salt production. Until the 1974 local government reorganisation, Cheshire had a north-east projection that gave it a border with Yorkshire, to avoid taxes every time salt crossed a boundary in old times. It was called the 'salt corridor'. Woodhead was the last settlement in it.

Could this be the first time in RUKF that Woodhead has been mentioned without implicit or explicit reference to the tunnel?

John Langdon Haydon Down, DS was born in Torpoint on 18th November 1828.

He was a British physician best known for his description of a relatively common genetic disorder, now known as
Down syndrome, which he originally classified in 1862. He died in Teddington, Middlesex on 7th October 1896,

William Samwell (1628–1676) was an English architect who designed and built Bushy House, Teddington for Edward Proger. Samwell also helped design part of Felbrigg Hall.
