Queens college is one of the constituent colleges of Cambridge university. Queens College Dundee was a part of St. Andrews University and is now just Dundee University. Queens College Belfast has also gained university status.

Cambridge also suffered from outbreaks of Sweating Sickness in the 16th century.

Sounds pretty horrible! I was intrigued to read that a notable person from Rushden was/is Jim Baldock, a pianist and duck expert. Tantalisingly, there were no links. However, there are ducks on the lake in Sandall Park in Wheatley Hills, Doncaster.

Just as Bangor is the oldest city in Wales, St David's in Pembrokeshire is the smallest city in Wales.

Tudor king Henry V111 had the shrine destroyed. Henry would not have become king if his older brother had not died of the sweating sickness in Ludlow.
