Severn Valley Railway £12.00 add-on

In Sept 2012, planning to travel from London Marylebone to Kidderminster via Birmingham Snow Hill. Then a day return on the Severn Valley Railway

I read about this £12.00 add-on to your fare.

In practical terms, how does this work ? Can you buy this combined national rail / severn valley railway ticket online ?

You cannot buy the add-on online afaik.

There are two ways the ticket can be issued:
1. As a through fare from your origin to Bridgnorth (not available for all flows).
2. As a separate ticket from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth (type HCF ADMISSION ONLY).

None of the ticket issuing websites appear to have Bridgnorth as a destination, so you'll have to buy it at a ticket office or through telesales.
